Text 20 Aug 2 notes 3 RULES TO LEAR WHEN BECOMING AN ARTIST

1: Skin colour is not pink, its Peach/Beige

2: Things in life do not actually have black outlines

3: Fuck these rules and every other rule, this is art where war is made with ink and pencil or stone and wood. Art has emotion and ideas, not wimpy rules.

Photo 17 Aug 3 notes Guna colour this all nice! If you like, colour it too, I would love to see peoples renditions…
I really should keep monochrome scans and make a colouring book

The whole language police thing here is hilarious and at the same time sad. The mere mention of some words to these people can set them in to a frenzy. I must be living on a different planet.

Some of my best friends call me a faggot, nigger, douchenozzle and all other so called “triggering” words…

I have to agree… Its scary how often I see screenshots float by about people going bonkers over some simple term… And as much as most of us try to cater to others so we cause no harm, ive seen people lose their case over people simply talking about some matters (often in very civil and with the meaning to try and understand the subject better) and people turn into Krakatoa. Its gotten to the point where ive seen (even fellow friends) outright swat away or ignore any subject or even people because they bring such vigorous animosity…

I try my best to make everyone smile, but I also urge people that have such issues to seek help or make an effort to simply deal with it… And this is coming from someone whos dealt with loss and death more than once.. I know how subjects can be touchy and can hurt us deeply but we need to temper ourselves and our emotions.

And to those who simply dont wish to improve themselves or just want to use this as a catalyst or a means of attacking others… some very wise words of one of my idols:

Text 2 Jul 236 notes On Gendered Clothes in Guild Wars 2

eirstegalkin:

Let’s start by realizing that Tyria is a pretty progressive place. Homophobia is nonexistent. Sexism exists only in villain groups like the Sons of Svanir and Flame Legion. Racism exists again only in villain groups like the krait, and in a storyline (Charr/Ascalon) culminating in a peace treaty and the slow but steady reconciliation after hundreds of years of hatred. ArenaNet is not appealing to a particularly bigoted crowd.

So, considering this is not a game that’s completely free to play, the player base must enjoy a setting like this. If we didn’t, we would not be playing and buying things in the Gem Store. Many community members want to know how ArenaNet has looked over the fact that if you take a look into the wardrobe, it’s not so equal anymore.

Whatever do we mean by that? There are tons of sets of armor that are completely different styles based on if your character is male or female. We’re talking about the skimpy windowed armor on only the females, when players of male toons have made it explicitly clear that they’d like more. We’re talking about the massive, intimidating visage that male models get in plate armor, which players of female toons have made it just as clear that they also want.

Now, what do players want to change, here?

I love this so much~ People are always complaining about female sets being too fantasized in a game about fantasy. I agree that you shouldn’t have to wear an overly seductive if you’re uncomfortable, but simply removing it isn’t going to help.

By giving the option to wear a different gender is by far the best idea, but its at the mercy of Anet… and as much as I would love to see this change, its not our world.. Again it’s Anets world and all we can do is ask and hope they listen.

I hope I’m not the only person sorta getting tired of hearing people demanding that Anet change things to suit them… you don’t walk into someones home and demand they change their curtains or carpets to better fit your style, you know?
